IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING THE RELOCATION OF THE WEBSTER SENIOR CENTER.
WE WILL NOT HAVE INTERNET SERVICE ON FRIDAY, 2/26/10 AND DO NOT ANTICIPATE PHONE SERVICE ON MONDAY, 3/1/10 HOWEVER WE WILL BE ABLE TO CHECK MESSAGES REMOTELY.
The Webster Senior Center will relocate to the Damascus Center, 979 Bay Road on March 1, 2010. The Lunch Club 60, senior singers, bingo, and other programs, as well as Faith Bell and Bert LaPlant, will be housed at this location for approximately 18 months while the expansion of the new community center is completed.
The Town of Webster has purchased 74 acres from Xerox Corporation which includes the former Xerox Recreation Building. The main offices of Webster Parks and Recreation and the staff will move to 1350 Chiyoda Drive effective March 1, 2010.

The Webster Senior Center is located at the Webster Community Center, 985 Ebner Drive between Holt Road and Barrett Drive. We are in the old Ridgecrest school building. Traci Ruffell is the Senior Center Coordinator and can be reached at 872-7088. Faith Bell is our Transportation Coordinator and Senior Services Coordinator. Faith can be reached at 872-0385.
Bert LaPlant serves a hot meal and lots of good cheer Monday - Friday for lunch. Faith's work day is 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday - Friday and Traci’s work schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Most of the activity at the Senior Center takes place Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, however most of the daytime and evening staff can answer questions about the center.
You can also call Traci or Faith or stop into to the main office for a Senior Information Packet. This packet includes valuable information about the senior center.
Whether you are seeking friendship, exercise, educational programs or recreational and leisure activities the Webster Senior Center is one place that is committed to providing these opportunities for residents of the town of Webster. We welcome you to check out the various programs and activities we offer in the Webster Parks and Recreation Department’s Program Guide, which is mailed to residents three times a year. (January, May, September. ) You are also invited to stop by the Webster Senior Center to see our facilities firsthand, and we encourage you to share your ideas about what we can do to enrich your experience with us.
The Webster Senior Center is visited by hundreds of seniors each week. Our seniors enjoy working out in the fitness room, participating in fitness classes, joining friends for a game of Bingo, Euchre, or Bridge, enjoying parties, day trips and enjoying one anothers company.
