Backyard Swim Program 2-4 Year Olds
This course is designed to introduce participants to the water in a controlled and comfortable environment. The one-on-one nature of this program allows each child to move at his/her own pace and develop a "bond" with an individual instructor. Repetition of simple water adjustment and safety skills is stressed. Please attend program even if it's raining outside. If it's too cold for the children to go in the water, the staff will hold a safety lesson or do a fun project that day. Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty trained.

Backyard Swim Program 5-9 Year Olds
These lessons are designed to help participants improve and master skills from Course Levels I - VI designed by the American Red Cross. Extra help is provided for those who are inexperienced or less comfortable in the water environment. There is a $3.00 provider fee assessed by the American Red Cross included in the Parks & Recreation Fee. Please attend the program even if it's raining outside. If it's too cold for the children to go in the water, the staff will hold a safety lesson or do a fun project that day.
