Charlie Prose Comedy Show at Turning Stone Casino

Free Senior Matinee at the Dryden Theatre
Come join us as we head to the Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman House to enjoy a FREE film and party. This film is FREE to persons age 60 and older. The presentation will be On the Town, starring Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Jules Munshin as three sailors on shore leave in New York City and all are determined to meet the perfect girl for fun and romance. There will be more dancing at the party after the film! The bus will leave at approximately 12:30 PM and return around 4:00 PM. This program is sponsored by The Highlands in Pittsford. Garden Club Crafts
If you love crafts and things that come from the garden you will enjoy this monthly craft series. AARP Driving Course
Upon successful completion of this refresher course you will receive a three-year discount on your auto insurance. No driving or eye test required. Class time will include a break. You may also bring a lunch or snack to eat in class. The fee is $10.00. Cash or credit card payments cannot be accepted. Eldersource
A trained case manager helps residents and their families sort through the maze of available services, benefits, health insurance, etc. and the paperwork that goes with it. The case manager is available on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. No appointments are necessary. Services are offered on a first come, first served basis. This service is co-sponsored by the Monroe County Office for the Aging and Lifespan. Funding guidelines limit this service to persons age 60 and older and their spouses of any age. Family members may also seek services for the senior in their life. Non-resident fee does not apply. Caseworker not available when center is closed on July 4.

Blood Pressure Screenings
Blood Pressure is a concern to many and it isn't always easy to get into the doctor's office to have it checked. Let us help make it easier to monitor. This health screening is offered the first Wednesday of every month. No appointment is needed. Non-resident fee does not apply.

Visionaries
Beginning around the fourth decade, you may start to notice a decreased agility of the eyes to accommodate detailed work. This is a natural change. However, other changes occur that are not part of the aging process. These diseases of the eye include cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. A support group has formed to assist those who are interested in learning, sharing and supporting themselves and others who are experiencing problems managing their impairment. The group is facilitated by member Jim Fleming with occasional guest speakers and field trips. For a $2 donation, transportation is available for persons age 60 and older and family members of any age. To arrange for a ride please call 872-0385. No written registration is required. Euchre
We've had such fun playing this famous Western New York card game that we now play once a week! The group plays four games, takes a beverage break and then plays another four games. No written registration is needed. This Euchre group is offering lessons every Thursday from 11:45 - 12:15 PM. They welcome observation and new members who can play the game. A talented local hairdresser, Ron Farruggia will offer haircuts for men and women. Come with your clean hair to the Webster Community Center where you will be transformed into a new you! This service is on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $10.00 for women's and $8.00 for men. Fee is paid directly to Ron. Transportation is available. The Senior Singers are looking for new members! This co-ed group of adults enjoys music and loves to sing Broadway show tunes, old standards and holiday songs. Senior Transportation
An air-conditioned mini bus provides a ride from any home in the Webster Central School District to the Webster Community Center. Weekly grocery trips, occasional trips to a mall or discount stores along with personal appointments are also offered. For further information please contact Senior Services Coordinator Faith Bell at 872-0385. Funding guidelines limit this service to persons 60 and older and their spouse of any age. The suggested donation is $2.00 per person, per day. No transportation will be provided on May 26, July 4 and September 1. Non-resident fee does not apply.

Lunch Club 60 “Bert’s Bistro”
Bert's Bistro, located at the Webster Community Center, is the place to be if you are looking for a delicious hot meal and a great way to socialize with new and old friends. Bert and Theresa, our Bistro staff, are waiting for you! The meal is acceptable even for those on a diabetic diet. Lunch is served cafeteria-style and assistance is available for those needing help carrying their trays. A complete menu is included in our monthly newsletter, "Looking Forward", copies of which are available at the Community Center. Registration is not needed except for special occasions.  Sign-in time is 11:30 AM. The meal is served at 12:00 PM. Funding guidelines set a $2.50 donation for those 60 and older. Persons under 60 must pay the full cost of the meal which is $4.00 per person. Non-resident fee does not apply. No meal served on May 26, July 4 and September 1.

The annual senior day at Charlotte Beach will make you remember summer days and picnics of yesteryear. Enjoy music, lunch, friends and maybe even some dancing. Out to Lunch
We're going to lunch! We will travel together in our van, or you are welcome to meet us at the restaurant. You will choose your meal off of the menu and each participant will be responsible for the cost of their own meal and gratuity. The first luncheon will be Friday, July 18 at Elegant Expressions in Penfield. On Friday, August 22 we will go to Hedges Nine Mile Point on Lake Ontario where we will enjoy an elegant lunch and a beautiful view. Finally, on Friday, September 12 we will enjoy lunch on Park Avenue at Hogan’s Hideaway. If you choose to drive, please indicate this on your registration form. Non-resident fee does not apply. Picnic Box Lunch Series at Webster’s Parks
Join us as we spend lunch once a month in the lovely parks in Webster. We will start the series by heading to North Ponds Park to eat lunch and enjoy a walk or just enjoy getting out. For the next trip we will head to Webster Park to eat lunch by the water. The last luncheon in this series will take us to the Arboretum to enjoy lunch and the beautiful late summer flowers. Transportation will be provided if needed or you may drive yourself. We will depart from the Webster Community Center at 11:30 AM and return at approximately at 1:00 PM. Senior's Summertime Picnic
Webster's most popular lodge, Liberty Lodge at Finn Park will host our summer picnic. With some new renovations to the parking lot and stone walkways, we will enjoy a picnic lunch complete with hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and other goodies. We will celebrate summer with activities and wonderful entertainment. Don't forget to dress for the weather and bring your lawn chair, sun hat and sunscreen. Tonawanda Fun Day
Our fun-filled day starts with a guided tour of the Carousel Factory Museum. The museum exhibits the history and growth of the Herschell Companies; demonstrates carving, horse restoration and band organ roll production; and operates two antique carousels. And yes, you do get to ride an antique carrousel. After our tour, you’ll have time to browse the Renaissance Festival adjacent to the museum. Then it’s a sit down lunch at the Grapevine Restaurant followed by a tour of the Riviera Theater -- an Italian Renaissance style showplace constructed in 1926. Your theater tour will include the showing of two silent movie shorts with live organ accompaniment. Bus departs from and returns to the Webster Community Center, 985 Ebner Drive.

Letchworth State Park
Learn and observe the history and glory of Letchworth State Park as your tour guide points out nature’s display and discusses the region’s rich heritage. Passengers who wish may depart the bus with the guide at scheduled picturesque stops. Letchworth, along the Genesee River, has some of the most magnificent scenery in the United States. Within the park, the river roars over three major waterfalls, one of which is 107 feet high. Trip includes a sit down lunch at the famous Glen Iris Inn followed by a brief stop at The Abbey of the Genesee, where you can purchase Monk’s Bread. Besides baking bread, the monks also bake a date and nut loaf, brownies and several varieties of fruitcakes. Bring small bills and change for purchases. Erie Canal Village & Boat Ride in Rome, NY
Enjoy a fun day at Erie Canal Museum Village in Rome, NY, an 1840’s canal village on the site where the first shovelful of earth was turned for the Erie Canal on July 4, 1817. Your tour will include a tasty buffet lunch followed by a horse drawn packet boat ride down the Erie Canal. You’ll have time to watch a short video depicting the history of the canal, a blacksmith’s demo, and visit the village’s locales. Kings of Swing-Niagara Area Fun Day
See rapids as never before in the IMAX® format movie Legends & Daredevils. Then take the two-minute walk to the falls and view its magnificence. Afterward, enjoy a sit down lunch at the Red Coach Inn overlooking the Niagara upper rapids. Then we're off to the ART Park matinee to enjoy watching, dancing or singing along to the exciting sounds of the 40's. The Kings of Swing stage show -- a scintillating show featuring a plethora of all-star performers -- features Canada's highly-acclaimed 14-member Galaxy All-Star Orchestra paying a dynamic tribute to the Swing Era including stars such as the Andrew Sisters, the Pied Pipers and others.
