Creative Dance for
30 months - 3 year olds
Students move together with songs, dances, various music styles and rhythms. Hoops, maracas and tumbling help children to experience many forms of dance. All sessions conclude with a performance during the last day of class. Wear comfy clothes and ballet shoes or sneakers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For session 132c, the stage is unavailable on Wednesday evening so the last day of class (the performance) will be on a Thursday (3/27/08) from 5:30 - 6:05 PM.

Itsy Bitsy Yoga
This new class is just for 4 - 6 year olds! Kids will learn yoga poses and relaxation activities to spark imagination, teamwork and creativity in a fun atmosphere. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket and water bottle to class. Also make sure you wear comfortable clothing!

Brother Bear at WPRD
Outside will be cold and chilly, but inside the Webster Community Center will be warm and cozy! Kids will stuff a teddy bear to take home. After the craft, at 6:30 PM sharp, an indoor movie will be shown on the new dual movie screens in the cafetorium. The featured presentation will be Brother Bear (Rated G). Popcorn will be served for your delight. Bring something comfortable to sit on or chairs will be available. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Non-resident fee does not apply.

I See The Sky
Star light! Star bright! First Star I see tonight! Take a bus ride to the Strasenburgh Planetarium! Explore the day sky, night sky, sun and moon. The 35-minute "I See the Sky" program is designed for young people. Please do not bring any children under the age of 4 because we will be taking a school bus. Adults must accompany children. You must register and pay for both you and your child. Non-resident fee does not apply.

Learning to Cross Country Ski
In this program, kids will learn the skate style of cross country skiing through various fun interactive activities. They will also learn to lead a healthy lifestyle and how cross country skiing can be a part of that lifestyle. Participants need to provide own skis. Children in 4th – 6th grade may be able to borrow skis from instructor. Please indicate on registration form if you would like to borrow equipment. Children under 5 years must be accompanied by a parent. Non-resident fee does not apply.

Wrap Around Camp
Wrap Around Camp at the Webster Community Center for children in Kindergarten – 3rd grade (completed grade) is back! If child care prevented your kids from enjoying the fun of summer camp at Webster Parks and Recreation, here is the solution! Wrap Around care provides a safe, fun and active program for children. In addition to the fun and friends, Wrap Around kids receive breakfast and a daily snack. Children are required to bring their own lunch. There are trips, arts, crafts, theme days, quiet time and more. There is a $50.00 deposit required to register. Once camp begins, payments are accepted on a weekly basis, although you may pay in full. More information will be available in May. No program on July 4.

4th - 5th Grade Wrap Around Camp
Wrap Around camp is available for 4th – 5th graders (completed grade) attending summer camp at Spry Middle School. Campers start and end their day at the Webster Community Center when 4 – 5 camp is in session (July 7 – August 7, 2008). When Spry camp is not in session, campers will enjoy a similar day of games, activities and trips. Campers need to bring their lunch each day. Breakfast and a snack are provided each day. There is a six-week and a seven-week option for this camp. A $50.00 deposit is required to register. Once camp begins, payments are accepted on a weekly basis, although you may pay in full. More information will be available in May. No program on July 4.

Geology Rocks!
Rocks are the oldest materials that we can collect and they are everywhere! Come and be a geologist as we explore the properties of rocks, fossils and minerals. We will weather rocks to explore how the size and shapes of rocks change and how sand forms. We’ll use plaster and clay to make models of mold, cast and trace fossils. Other activities include making paint out of minerals and constructing a rock sculpture.

Potted Gardens for Kids
Containers offer a gardener the opportunity to create a work of art in a small space. Rosy and her team at Harris Garden Center will plant a variety of different containers with annuals, tropicals, grasses and other plants to demonstrate the dazzling results you can achieve with different shapes and forms. Under supervision, your child will create his or her own container garden in a style that not only has maximum eye-appeal but also complements almost any home. Rosy’s Harris Garden Center will also provide a handout on how to care for your pot to get the most out of it throughout the season. All materials will be provided, including standard pot, plants, potting mix and blossom-boosting fertilizer.
