Trip to Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack

Need a day to just get away?  Join us as we head to the casino.  You are on your own; we just drop you off and pick you up.  The Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack offers nearly 1,200 video gaming machines for your enjoyment.  Our spacious, 30,000 square foot gaming floor allows you to move around in comfort.  You can play all of you favorite games, including video poker, progressive jackpots, penny machines, and more!  We will depart each day from the community center at 9:30 AM and return at approximately 3:30 PM.  Non resident fee does NOT apply.

Wandering Around Webster

Do you know the history of your town?  Join us as the tour guide, Dick Batzing, Former Webster Historian will begin  again in the spring.  The first tour will begin at the Senior Center and be an inside tour of the old Union School, 70 South Avenue, the first high school building in Webster.  We’ll visit several of the luxury apartments inside the building and also see early documents and photographs pertaining to the history of the former high school building.  There are many elements pertaining to the outside of the building tht add much to the history of the town. The second tour, will consist of the historic Webster Rural Cemetery on Ridge Road.  Minimal walking will be required.  We’ll visit a section of Civil War graves; the grave sites of several early Webster pioneer families who helped find our town; the 1922 Webster Rural Cemetery Chapel; War Memorial Marker and flag people as well as a history of the 2 cannons near the historical monument.  Tom Pellett, a long time director of the cemetary will join us on this tour.  Non resident fee doe NOT apply.

Travelogue – Blue Danube

Sit back, relax and enjoy a grand tour of Blue Danube in 2008.  This cruise begins in Prague, the Czech Republic; Prague is sometimes called the Paris of Eastern Europe.  Then onto Vienna, Austria – which is known as the land of Strauss.  We will also visit Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia.  One of the highlights of the cruise would be Budapest, the capital of Hungry.  Budapest is known for its parliament buildings, referred to as the Queen of the Danube.  In Melk, Austria you will view an awesome monastery with its beautiful religious art treasures.  The trip concludes with a two-day visit to Munich, Germany. Non resident fee does NOT apply.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by our very own Commissioner of Parks and Recreation, Mark Yaeger.Chef Yaeger will be preparing breakfast and following his delightful fare we will play BINGO - complete with prizes!  Come and join us for this fun-filled morning.  Please pay when registering.  Bert’s Bistro will not be serving lunch that day.  Non resident fee does NOT apply.
