Adults and children experience the sounds and rhythms of music together through songs, movement, and instrument play. Children begin to develop a repertoire of rhythmic and melodic patterns: the building blocks of musical language. Parents and children learn songs and activities that can become part of their daily lives. Please DO NOT bring any other children to class.

Families build a foundation for future learning through these games and activities as they introduce melodic and rhythmic patterns, and a variety of musical styles. Step up to the next level of active music making as we sing, move, play, and explore the world of music as basic skills are developed. Students will develop musical concepts such as steady beat, tone matching, readiness of note reading skills, and the appreciation for different genres of music. The world of literature, seasons, counting, following directions, awareness of self and others, as well as social skills will all be explored during this lively, active class.
