Hurdles, long jump, high jump, relay, hooray!!! Your children will try their skills at the hurdles, distance running, discus, high jump, long jump, relay running, javelin and sprint running. The emphasis of this class is on having fun, making new friends and exercising. Children must be accompanied by an adult. PARENTS MAY NEED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES WITH THEIR CHILD IF NEEDED.

This soccer program will provide a fun environment for engaging children in physical activity. They will enjoy playing games that develop their motor skills as well as their ability to listen and follow directions. Fictional characters will be used to introduce individual skills and footwork with the ball as well as concepts of play. Introduce your child to the world of horses at the Little Dude Ranch. You may sign up for our one hour lessons or our series which consists of 4 one hour lessons. Each lesson will include 30 minutes of saddle time and 30 minutes of horse skills. Horse skills include brushing, tacking, hand walking and feeding. If your child signs up for the series then he/she will also learn to trot and ride off the lead. Each child must be accompanied by an adult and they will learn along with the child, but will not be riding. The fee is for the child and the adult is free. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY OTHER CHILDREN TO THE LESSON. Children must wear long pants and no open toed shoes. The indoor arena is used in the Fall/Winter time and in case of inclement weather. Helmets will be provided. The location is at the Little Dude Ranch, 3702 Parker Road. 104E right onto Rt.350, left onto Rt. 441, go 5 miles and turn right onto Parker Road.

Start Smart is a critically acclaimed program from the National Alliance for Youth Sports that helps kids get ready for sports. Kids and parents will have a positive and fun experience in a supportive environment. This program focuses on all BASIC and INTRODUCTORY sports skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, and batting. One adult must accompany the child and we ask that you please do not bring any other babies or other children to the class. This is an interactive program for you and your child.

Start Smart Golf is a developmentally appropriate introductory golf program for children 5 - 7 years old. It is a parent participation program for young children who have never played golf. Start Smart Golf teaches parents how to teach their child golf using fun, developmentally age appropriate equipment. This program prepares children for traditional golf without the threat of competition or the fear of failure. One adult must accompany the child and we ask that you please do not bring any other children to the class, as this is an interactive program for you and your child. Tiny Sprouts is a younger version of our popular Sporty Sprouts preschool sports readiness program. Created for boys and girls ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years of age, this program will introduce your child to age appropriate activities related to the motor skills used in basketball, soccer and tennis. Webster Winners Soccer is a playful and nurturing youth sports program dedicated simply to “FUN”, FRIENDSHIP, AND SOCCER!” Our non-competitive program will provide boys and girls ages 5 - 6 with a recreational soccer experience in a fun and supportive environment. Kids will participate in age and developmentally appropriate activities that will keep them smiling, learning and ready to come back for more! Kids will practice and play small sided games at Willink Middle School Gym. Each team will practice/play one hour on each Saturday. Boys and girls will play together. Players must have shin guards and wear appropriate clothing and either sneakers or cleats to play. Please bring a water bottle each day. Parent volunteers are needed; if interested, please indicate on your registration form or email cguadagnino@ci.webster.ny.us.

Have a BLAST Bumper Bowling! Your child knocks down pins with every throw! Cost includes one game of bowling, shoes (if available) and a party the last day of the program. Have a blast bumper bowling or regular bowling. The cost of the program includes two games of bowling, shoe rental (size 9 & up) a pizza party and a trophy on the last day. If your child would like to bowl with a specific friend, please request it on the registration form. We will have 4 bowlers on each team. Parents are not required to stay with the children but are always welcome. An ideal sport for all ages, today’s fencing is a unique, fast paced workout. It is a sport that helps develop strength, endurance, speed, coordination and flexibility. While highly physical, it is also a mental game, enhancing concentration, decision making and problem solving abilities. Fencing can enhance your self confidence and resistance to stress. This course will be taught by a certified Rochester Fencing Club Instructor. Participants will gain experience with conditioning, basic footwork, blade work, and will be given the opportunity to fence others. Participants need to wear sweatpants, sneakers, and a t-shirt. All other equipment will be provided.

REGISTRATION FOR GIRLS ON THE RUN ENDS MARCH 12th, 2010
Girls on the Run of Monroe County is a life-changing, non-competitive, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 4th through 5th grade. Our mission is “to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.”
Girls on the Run combines training for a community 5K (3.1 mile) event with healthy living education. Our 12 week program instills self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training.
Girls on the Run of Monroe County is an Affiliate/Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 150 locations across the United States and Canada.
Webster is the first to offer this popular national program and will be offered at the following locations for 12 weeks. We meet twice a week for one hour with most of the activities being located outside!
Registration is open to any girl in grades 4-5. Deadline to register is March 12th, 2010. Choose the location and time that best fits your schedule:
